This mama osprey sits atop her nest waiting for the sun to set. Maybe not the prettiest bird to watch, but fascinating!

I think it is pretty cool looking. The is an Osprey nest atop a power pole over by my Mother's on Whidbey Island. I have some super pictures of both adult birds. MB
ReplyDeleteI love the ospreys on the Piankatank (where the frogs all jump from bank to bank)! Are these the very same ones I've been watching for years, do you suppose—or the next generation?
ReplyDeleteSmith Mountain Lake is a great place to fish. This is where I took my son fishing for the first time; it is the best place to start, and my favorite place to return to. I can't wait to go back to Smith Mountain Lake this summer. Beautiful photo that captures SML at its best!
